Hey there! I'm Ashley, an anxious, nature loving, wife, mom, and science nerd, in her mid 30's, attempting to live her best gluten free life. After the birth of my son, I struggled immensely with declining health. Trying to navigate life as a first time mom, while dealing with undiagnosed health issues, I made the difficult decision to leave my previous career and started a small crafting business based out of our home. This little shop helped pay bills, and put food on our table while I worked with doctors to figure out what was happening inside my body. There were a lot of struggles when I first started my gluten free journey. Realizing many aspects of my life would never be the same was a difficult pill to swallow. I missed the simplicity of my old lifestyle and habits, but knew that better health would be worth it all around.
Why a Blog?
After facing my fair share of challenges while transitioning to a gluten free diet, I realized there's a lack of guidance and free resources. Many of us are simply told to avoid gluten and sent on our way, not fully understanding what that means. Whether you're newly diagnosed with a sensitivity, intolerance or Celiac diease, attempting an elimination diet or just exploring gluten free options, I hope that the resources I share will help make your transition a smooth one.
